ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced analytical scientist to join our growing Assay Development team at Genalyte. This position is within our R&D team, helping us to grow our analytical capabilities for our immunoassay technologies. In this role, you’ll enable us to understand and quantify the biochemistry behind our reagents and sensing technology, develop new metrologies and QCs, and deliver robust processes for our next generation of products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
These may include but not limited to:
Tools & Equipment: Typical biochemistry laboratory equipment, analytical laboratory instruments, biological specimen handling
Software Knowledge: numerical spreadsheet software, presentation software, mathematical fitting and modeling software (JMP, minitab, etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal lifting (< 20 lbs)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: “5%”

In this role, you’ll enable us to understand and quantify the biochemistry behind our reagents and sensing technology, develop new metrologies and QCs, and deliver robust processes for our next generation of products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
These may include but not limited to:
- Detailed understanding of biochemical lab work (titrations, dilutions, purification, etc.)
- Detailed mechanistic knowledge of protein and antibody conjugation, purification, and optimization
- Strong background in data analysis, means testing, power analysis, regression analysis and modeling
- Ability to work quickly and collaboratively to solve complex problems
- Analyze and interpret complex data, identifying trends and troubleshooting issues to improve assay performance
- Prepare technical reports, validation documentation, and regulatory submissions
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field with relevant industry experience.
- Detailed understanding of various quantitative biochemical assays and separations (ELISA, HPLC, bioconjugation assays, etc.)
- Strong background in assay development, optimization, and validation, particularly in immunoassays, ELISA, or molecular diagnostics.
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis and software tools (e.g., JMP, R, Python)

SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $130,000
Offer decisions and base salary depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s skills, qualifications, business need and experience.
